We use an integrative style by combining a variety of models in a way that is uniquely structured to meet the individual needs of our clients.

Models

 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

The goal of CBT is to help you have a more beneficial perspective of things. It draws attention to the link between your actions, feelings, thoughts and bodily sensations and help you to focus on the areas where you can redirect your feelings on the inside to bring about change to the cycle that keeps you stuck. Unlike some other talking treatments, CBT deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past.

Schema Therapy

Schema therapy is an integrative psychotherapy combining theory and techniques from CBT, psychoanalytic object relations theory, attachment theory and Gestalt therapy that target self-defeating patterns that typically begin in childhood.

Psychodynamic Approach

This approach has been designed to help you bring the unconscious mind into your awareness (consciousness). The therapist helps you to understand how the repressed emotions and memories affect the way you behave. The therapist’s experience of the client helps the client to understand how others relate to them. The process involves a deep exploration of your current issues and defences in relation to childhood and past experiences.

Person Centered Approach

This approach is non-directive and helps you to recognise the best solutions for yourself. The therapist acts as a compassionate active listener and holds a non-judgmental stance by using techniques to facilitate self-discovery and positive growth.
